Dan Byrne founded BSG in 1984 with the goal of providing engineered gas solutions, market applications and world-class service to biotech companies, research and development firms, environmental and medical laboratories and electronics manufacturers. By 2005, BSG had generated more than $10 million in annual sales and in March of 2006, was acquired by Airgas, the largest U.S. distributor of industrial, medical, and specialty gas gases, and related hardgoods. BSG and Airgas continue to supply the Northwest gas community as Airgas-North Pacific.
